Latex
materials
Originally, latex is a dense, milky liquid extracted from the rubber tree (Hevea brasiliensis – “caucciù”). Through an initial process (foaming), the liquid is mixed with air to achieve the desired density and firmness of the block.
Depending on the dosage, latex cores with differentiated zones can be produced. Lordflex’s uses 7-zone calibrated latex cores, designed to optimally support the different weights of each area of the body, making the structure highly ergonomic.
The air introduced during processing creates tiny, interconnected micro‑cells which, together with vertical ventilation channels, ensure excellent breathability. Latex naturally adapts perfectly to the body’s contours and represents an alternative to spring systems or synthetic foams used in mattress production.
It is advisable to choose latex mattresses paired with horsehair layers, which make the mattress even fresher and better ventilated.
Latex is natural, antistatic, protects against sources of electromagnetic pollution, and contributes to overall well‑being in the sleep environment.
